The Ultimate Free and Budget Friendly PDF Patterns’ List

Hi friends! Ever since I started sewing I have dreamed of making the ultimate capsule wardrobe. Unfortunately, I’ve been too busy with school, work, and family, and the stars never aligned for me to concentrate on such a huge task. I’ve watched my fellow sewists and friends make beautiful capsule wardrobes year after year, and hoped one day I would be able to have the time to create one myself. I think this world wide pandemic has provide the opportunity for me to create a mini capsule wardrobe.

I thought about this for a few month now and I’ve come to the conclusion that using simple and easy patterns would be best. In previous years I’ve been too focused on making complicated and advanced garments and this gave me anxiety and often led to stress. I’ve come to the understanding that this is a major reason why I always fail at making a capsule wardrobe. In addition, watching YouTube videos of how certain sewists put together their capsule wardrobe was overwhelming. Mostly, these videos focus on creating a wardrobe that include intermediate to advanced sewing patterns and many many “wardrobe staple” garments. Ultimately, I want to create a simple wardrobe without putting any unnecessary pressure and/or unrealistic expectations of myself.

thank you so much for compiling this list! I’m a fashion student studying pattern making and being able to see how all these different patterns are constructed and laid out is incredibly helpful.
